Hildagard Edmonds was the 6th child of Darius "Ed" Edmonds and his wife Anna Drescher.

Grandma Huff was a sweet little person. One of her favorite sayings was, "oh, lovely, mm-hm"! She would say that whenever you told her about some nice place you had been or about something that you had made. She loved to fish and spent most of her vacations doing just that! She canned her own fruit and home made soups and she loved to garden. She played the piano and loved the tune Home Sweet Home. She owned a beautiful little two bedroom bungalow with a white picket fence in Menlo Park, California at 2035 Gordon Avenue. It had a small home made pond in the back yard surrounded by abalone shells, statuary and greenery.

Near the end of her life she and I used to play musical duets together; she played the piano and I the clarinet. The ladies at Country Comfort Home would all clap when we finished our concerto. She was a wonderful grandmother and friend.
