Big Ben came from Beth's Budgies and had champion bloodlines. He was an English parakeet or exhibition budgerigar.
Bennie was a very funny bird. He liked to flip up his head feathers and make himself look big and scary but his cagemate Siobhan ruled the roost. Ben was really kind of a coward. He would mutter a few words "'Ennie" and "Vonny" (Siobhan). He loved those plastic penguins on wheels and made us laugh so hard because he was so big and the toy was so little. He looked like a parakeet on wheels. He liked to take a shower with a spray bottle and could make that squeaky little sound like the sprayer. What a clown!

Big Ben caught an infection and despite many visits to the vet, he finally died.

He was survived by his budgie friends and cagemate, Siobhan.
