Frederick Wendel, 87, formerly of Kiel, died Thursday afternoon at Adobe Nursing Home, Sheboygan, where he had been a resident five years.
Mr. Wendel was born Dec. 27, 1877, at Charlesburg, Calumet County, son of the late Frederick and Catherine Schmitz Wendel. He was educated at the Charlesburg parochial school. He farmed the homestead farm at Brothertown, Calumet County, then in 1935 moved to Kiel where he was employed by Kiel Woodenware Co. until 1956 when he made his home with Mr. and Mrs. Math Werdeo of rural Kiel before moving to Sheboygan. He was unmarried. Surviving are nieces and nephews.
