3rd wife of William Butcher.Mrs. Maud Landrum Butcher, 83, died Tuesday afternoon at the home of her
daughter, Mrs. Edward Akers, in Steedman.

She was the daughter of Thomas and Alice May Allen Richardson. Mrs. Butcher was
married to Albert Landrum, who died in 1920. On August 22, 1922, she married
William Butcher, who died September 11, 1954.

Mrs. Butcher was a former resident of Elston.

Survivors include: Five sons, William and Virgil R. Landrum, both of
California, Walter Landrum, Jefferson City, Roy E. Butcher, Fulton, and Isham
Lee Butcher, Henderson, Co; three daughters, Mrs. Richard Opal Salmons and Mrs.
George Dorothy Warden, both of Fulton, and Mrs. Edward Abbie Akers, Steedman;
three step-sons, Milford Butcher, Lakeland, Fl., Jess Butcher, Hutchison, Ks,
and Harold Butcher, Rocheport.

Two step-daughters, Mrs. Edward Mary Shikles, California, Mo and Mrs. Gladys
Hughes, Jefferson City; three brothers, Joseph, Ted and Fred Richardson, all of
Ponca City, OK; one sister, Mrs. Clyde Edith Lay, Kansas City; 24 grandchildren,
24 great-grandchildren, 12 step-grandchildren and 20 step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one step-daughter.
