LOVISA DENSMORE
(4th child of John & Dorcus Densmore)

Lovisa Densmore, was born at Strongsville, Ohio, July 7, 1824 and came to Michigan with her parents in 1830 when she was 6 years of age. Locating at Pittsfield, Washtenaw Co., Mich., spending her girlhood days here, coming to Ingham Co in 1839 when she was 15 years old, with her sister Sally and two older brothers, John Jr. and Henry and assisted in laying the foundation for the home as the rest of the family came about one year later.

Lovisa married a Mr. Mott, who soon died and May 1, 1844 she married Dr. Sweet and Dr. Sweet passed away about 1865. The first few years of her married life were spent in Monroe County in the vicinity of Milan.

Later Lovisa married Russell Warner and after living for a little time near Milan, they moved to Ingham County and located on a farm ½ miles west of the Old Densmore homestead where she spent the rest of her life.

Lovisa passed away in 1892 and was buried in the Howard Cemetery. She was tall, heavy built and very strong in her younger days.

Lovisa and Dr. Sweet had four children: Simon, Alfonso, Frank and Clarence.

Some time after 1871 she married Russel Warner. He was previously married to Laura Dowsitt.
