Funeral for Annie Mae Bing McDonald, 87, of Hartselle will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home with the Rev. Harlon Hood and the Rev. Craig Carlisle officiating.

Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.

Mrs. McDonald died Tuesday, April 8, 2003, at Sunshine Haven. She was born on March 29, 1916, in Rome, Ga. to James Wilson Bing and Pearl Alexander Bing. Mrs. McDonald was a homemaker and member of Central Park Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years. She was the widow of Colonel Hardy McDonald, the mother of the late Loyd L. McDonald, James Hardy McDonald and Lelia Imogene McDonald, and the sister of the late Jackson Bing, Valoree Martin and Dorothy Manning. The family would like to extend special appreciation to the staff of Sunshine Haven Assisted Living Facility in Hartselle for their kindness and special care given to Mrs. McDonald and to Hospice of the Valley for their kindness and care.

Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Fricks of Hudson, Fla. and Sherry Baker of Somerville; one sister, Ida Bell Ware of Rome, Ga.; seven grandchildren, Cynthia Fricks Johns, of Hudson, Fla., Charles Fricks and David Fricks both of Chattanooga, Angela Baker Mooney of Shepherdsville, Ky., Amy Baker Bennefield of Prattville, Kevin McDonald of Amarillo, Texas and Ryan McDonald of Stratford, Texas; two step-grandsons, Craig Dusenbury and Mark Dusenbury, both of Stratford, Texas; 14 great grandchildren and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be grandsons.

The family requests memorials be made to Gideons International or Hospice of the Valley.
