My grandmother is pictured here in 1990 when she was 94. At her side is my friend, the legendary singer-actor-dancer, Donald O'Connor. This picture was taken at the Benedum Center in Pittsburgh, PA. When I was a kid, it was called the Stanley Theatre. My mother often took us there for movies.

This is my grandmother on the left with my ex-stepfather, Sam Zinkham Jr., me, and my beloved dog, Bum. The dog got that name because when she was a puppy she would always chew up my school papers. Bum developed terminal cancer and my grandmother went with me to put her to sleep. I passed out with my dog in my arms.

This picture of my grandmother and me was taken on one of my many visits to Pennsylvania at the Conway Methodist Church. They tore the church down some time after she died and made a drugstore out of it. I hope never to frequent it. It is so sad.

My grandmother is pictured here with her neighbor, Margaret Gossett, on her left. The medals on her chest are for many years of continuous attendance at the Methodist Church in Conway, PA. Jeanette Nelson pinned the medals on her chest in her coffin before her burial. She was so proud of them.
