Mary Nordman Eastman was born at Clarksville, Iowa, the daughter of Henry and Isa Bonwell Nordman. She and her parents themn moved to the McIntire area where she attended schools.
She married Forrest Eastman in August, 1930 at Charles City. The couple farmed in the Riceville and McIntire area until retiring and moving to Osage in 1966.
Suvivors include her husband, Forrest; two daughters, Mrs. Charles (Donna) Engebretson of Osage, and Mrs. Montel (Kay) Hernan of St. Ansgar; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; a sister, Dora Thorn of Grundy Center; and a brother, Vern Nordman of Viola, Wisconsin.
