Boyd R. Lukens, 80, Chicago, brother of two Bloomington residents and a Farmer City native, died at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 4, 1999, in Chicago, where he had been in a nursing home for the last 15 years.
He will be cremated. His ashes will be buried in Maroa Cemetery. A family memorial service is planned for a later date.
Among survivers are two brothers, Richard Lukens, Bloomington and Max Lukens, Urbana and a sister, Catherine Wright, Bloomington.
Five brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.

Boyd Raymond Lukens was born Jan. 24, 1919, in De Witt County, a son of John Wm. and Gertrude Sparrow Lukens.
Among survivors are two brothers, Richard Hench Lukens and Max Lloyd and a sister, Catherine Wright.
Five brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
