PFC. Robert Grady Grizzle in the Army Air Corp and was assigned to Company 4108th Army AirAF Base Unit. He was honorably discharged on 15 May 1946.
He was born and raised in Statham, Clarke County, Georgia.
On 24th of August 1947, he was riding on Hwy 78 in Clarke County, on his way home from work, when his motorcycle was stuck by a car. Grady was killed instantly.
His young wife, Annie Belle Grizzle, applied for a military marker for him on 22 September 1947. It was delivered on 17 December 1947.
Uncle Columbus and some of his sons took it to the cemetery (which was called "Rose Hill" at that time) and placed it on Grady's grave.
