Augustin was married twice, first to Emelie-Louise Rock/Roche, and secondly to Harriet St. Antoine. He had nine children, seven of whom grew to maturity.

At least three of them lived to adulthood (Charles, Louis and Alfred Amable Boucher) . Émélie Roch died in 1852 and Augustin remarried the following year. He then had a further nine children with his second wife, Henriette St-Antoine."
