C. O. Crum Is Summoned
C. O. Crum retired farmer of the Middleburg community in Noble county, died at his home about 10 o'clock Saturday [July 21, 1945] morning.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Yeagle Crum; two sons, Frank and Roman Crum, both of near Caldwell, and a daughter, Mrs. Joseph Sailing, Caldwell Rt. Three sons preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 9 o'clock from St. Mary's Catholic church, Fulda, with Rev. Fr. B. J. Mattes officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The body was returned to the residence Sunday morning from the Brubach funeral home Summerfield.
According to his death certificate, 79 year old farmer Leo Crum of rural Noble Co., Ohio died on July 21, 1945 in Enoch Twp., Noble Co., Ohio. He was married to 77 year old Elizabeth Crum at the time of his death. He was born on February 1, 1866 in Noble Co., Ohio to Frank Crum and Ann Mary Seiffert. The cause of death is given as "Acute Pulmanary Edema; Chronic Pulmary infection; and Senile Astemia." He was buried in St. Mary Cemetery, Fulda, Ohio. The information on the death certificate was provided by Frank J. Crum,. Caldwell, Ohio.
[Note: Although the death certificate gives the place of birth for Leo's parents as Fulda, Ohio, the were borth actually born in Germany.]
