Jean Stone passed away on Tuesday, April 13, 2010. A memorial service will be held at the Dooley Colonial Home, 556 Westfield Ave., Westfield, on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. Friends and family are welcome to attend a short service of remembrance at 5 p.m. Jean loved others from deep within her heart. Her compassion and gentle spirit live on in the lives of those that she touched. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and friend. Her grandson, Clayton David, was the light of her life and she cherished him with every ounce of love she had. Her deep faith was a constant source of strength and she longed for others to share in this faith that brought her and her family so much peace. She is now forever with her Heavenly Father but will never be forgotten by those whose lives she touched and changed forever. During this time of loss she would want people to celebrate life and cherish all the blessings we have been given. Jean was the daughter of Patricia Buckman and her husband, Wesley, and sister to Peggy Dolomont and John Sorensen. She was predeceased by her father, Edward Sorensen, and brother, Jim. She is survived by her daughters, Shannon and Cortney; son-in-law, Clayton Rickle, and their father David Stone. She was loved and will be missed by Kenny Dannevig, with whom she had currently been sharing her life. Her roles as a loyal employee of the Westfield Y and gentle (mentor) touched many lives. However, her biggest and proudest role was that of a loving mother and grandmother, one that she played out beautifully.
