Ambrose F. Baker

NEWCOMERSTOWN - Ambrose F. Baker, 75, of 222 S. River St., owner and operator of Baker's Motor and Machine Shop here, died at his home at 10 p.m. Friday.

Born June 5, 1895 in Rush Twp., he was a son of James and Mary Robinson Baker, and was married Dec. 18, 1922, to Cordelia McCormick, who died Feb. 27,1963.

Mr. Baker served in the Motor Transportation Corps during World War I.

Surviving are three sons, Earl W., of West Lafayette Route 1; Forest D., of Cambridge, and Glenn A., of Newcomerstown; a daughter, Mrs. Marlene Johnson, Kankakee, Ill., and 10 grandchildren. A daughter is deceased.

Burial will be in Bakersville Cemetery.
