Faye Niederhofer King, 92, of La Marque, TX, passed peacefully into the hands of God, on Monday, July 25, 2011. She was born to Charlie and Ella Niederhofer in Hawthorne, TX on August 20, 1918. Faye and Russell Kenneth King of Oil City were joined in marriage on December 14, 1943 in Orange, TX. They were long time residents of Oil City.

In her many years, Faye ran a local cafe and was a housewife supporting Russell's oil well business. She always enjoyed working in her yard with her flowers and trees that flourished under her gardener's touch.

She is preceded in death by her husband Russell, the love of her life. She is also preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Otis, Wilson, Arnold, John Elliott, R.W. and Gideon and her sisters Sybil, Ollie, Eunice, Kathryn and Bit.

Survivors include her daughter Linda Gayle Coggins of Shreveport; grandchildren Alicia Sue Fuller and husband Danny of Shreveport, Shannon Faye Zirkle and husband Michael of Bossier City and Crystal Sheree Gibson of Shreveport; and great grandchildren Jason Rossow of Crosby, TX and Joshua Rossow of Pineville, LA. She is also survived by her brothers J.C. Neiderhofer and wife Pansy of Santa Fe, TX, Pete Niederhofer of Oil City, sister-in-law Angelina Niederhofer of La Marque, TX, loving niece Ollie Niederhofer of La Marque, TX as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Saturday, July 30, 2011, 10:00 am to 11:00 am, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home of Vivian. Graveside services will follow at Evans-Richie Memorial Gardens, Vivian.
