Annelle McIlwain Bell, 87, of 1203 Market Street, Pascagoula, MS died Dec. 2, 2000, at Keesler Air Force Base Medical Center.
Services are Monday at 1 p.m. at Stabler-Robbins Funeral Home Chapel in Aliceville. Burial will follow in Lower Cemetery in Pickensville. Visitation is Monday from 10 a.m. - noon at the funeral home chapel. Stabler-Robbins Funeral Home of Aliceville is directing.
She was the wife of the late Hunter Benjamin Bell. Pascagoula, Miss., had been her home for the past 40 years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Pascagoula. Her parents were the late Artie Rebecca and Julian Richard McIlwain of Choctaw County, Ala. The youngest of seven siblings, Mrs. Bell was born in Gilbertown, Ala., on Sept. 30, 1913, weighing only two pounds. She overcame a fragile beginning to lead a long and happy life.
Mrs. Bell is survived by two daughters, Sally Bell Hobbs and Betty Bell Alford; three grandchildren, Lisa Garrison, David Alford and Erin Alford; two great-grandchildren, Rebekah and Chance. She is also survived by son-in-law John Alford, sister-in-law Amanda Bell Patterson, numerous nieces and nephews and their families. She was loved dearly and will be missed by all.
