Honoring the life of Uffz. Karl Schwarz who lost his life in World War II and shares this grave marker with another, Gefr. Friedric Hirsch. They were German soldiers who gave their lives unwillingly or not. La Cambe German Cemetery off the coast of Normandy, France. La Cambe is the largest WW II German Cemetery in Normandy, with over 20,000 German and Polish Solders buried here. The majority were young soldiers that died during the first months of the fight to liberate Europe. This photo taken while on a visit to Normandy in summer of 2008. I do not know what the abbreviated titles in front of their name translate to. If you do please advise.
