Alvin Alosi, age 87, of Boynton Beach, formerly of Brockton, Mass., passed away Monday, April 26, 2010, at Bethesda Memorial Hospital, Florida. He was the husband of the late Ethel M. (Rogers) Alosi. Born Feb. 23, 1923, in Fall River, he was a son of the late James J. and Katherine (Connell) Alosi. He was a 1940 graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School in Fall River, Mass., and a 1950 graduate of Boston University. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and served in the China, Burma, India Theater of Operations. Mr. Alosi was employed as a controller for Foreign Autopart, Inc., for many years until his retirement in 1990. After his retirement, he and his late wife spent their summers in Massachusetts and their winters in their home in Boynton Beach, which they recently made their year round residence. He was an avid sailor and he and his late wife enjoyed sailing in the New England waters for many years in their sailboat, Alegria. He is survived by a sister, Carol Alosi Euston of Washington DC; two nephews, James Alosi of Atkinson, N.H., and Brian Alosi of Plymouth, Mass.; as well as several great-nieces and great-nephews. He was brother to the late James W. Alosi of Tiverton, R.I. His funeral service will be held Monday, May 3, 2010, at 11 a.m. in the Boule Funeral Home, 615 Broadway, Fall River. Interment will be in St. Patrick Cemetery, Robeson Street, Fall River. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. www.boulefuneralhome.com
