Katherine Dorothy Eliza, daughter of William Henry Klipp and
Eliza Maria Sophia Mueller was born in Barnsen, Hanover, Germany, Feb. 7, 1864.
At the age of four years she came to the United States with her parents and settled in Sauk county, Wis.
She was confirmed by Rev. Kessler of Westfield and later became a member of the Lutheran church of Ableman and remained a faithful member until her death.
She was united in marriage to the late Philip J. Grubb on Feb. 23rd, 1881, and located on a farm in the town of Freedom. She passed away at 7 p.m. May 9th, 1935, at the age of 71 years, 3 months and 2 days, after an illness of several months.
She leaves to mourn her loss one son William of Ableman, and two daughters, Mrs. M. W. Stephenson. of Hillsdale and Mrs. Edward F. Klein of Dallas, Wisconsin, seven grandchildren, and one great grandson. One brother, Henry Klipp, and one sister, Mrs. Mary Toskruger, both of Loganville.
One son, Fred, preceded her in death on July 10th, 1908.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at two o'clock at the St. John’s Lutheran. church of Ableman, the Rey. Philip Lehman Officiating. Burial was made in the North Freedom cemetery.
