He retired from G.E. after 37 years and worked for Heil's Auction Service. He served his country in the U.S. Navy and attended Christ Community Church. He was the owner of Amos Antiques and enjoyed tractors and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Kaye Amos, of Henryville; two sons, Mark Amos and wife, Trina, and Loren Amos and wife, Loretta, all of Henryville; daughter Lorilea Jackey and husband, Brian, of Henryville; a sister, Dorothy Amos Robertson, of Henryville; and grandchildren Kyle Jackey, Jordan Amos, Sarah Jackey, Rachel Amos and Lily Grace Jackey.
Visitation will be from noon until 8 p.m. Monday at Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg and 9 a.m. until time of service Tuesday at the church.
