Born in Anderson County, she was a daughter of the late William Thomas Daniel, Jr. and Mary Sue Hall Daniel and the widow of Frank Edward Sloan. Mrs. Sloan was a homemaker and member of Poe Mill Baptist Church. She enjoyed working with her flowers, gardening, canning, crocheting, and watching her favorite television shows, Walker and Gene Autrey.
Surviving are one daughter, Gwendolyn Faye Smith of Salem; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Evelyn Ferguson, of Rehobeth Beach, DE; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Sloan was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be held Sunday from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the funeral home. The Funeral Service will be held Monday at 10:30 am in the Downtown Chapel of Thomas McAfee Funeral Home. Burial to follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
