JESS SELF, 64, LOVILLA DIES
---Jess Leroy Self, 64, Lovilia resident, died Sunday at the Monroe County Hospital.
---He was born Oct. 23, 1906 in LaPlata, Mo., the son of Marion and Nora Farmer Self. He was married May 18, 1929 to Dathne Byerly in Kirksville, Mo. Mr. Self had farmed east of Lovilia and had been employed by the John Morrell and Co. in Ottumwa until his retirement in 1964.
---He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Masonic Lodge in Lovilia.
---Survivng are his wife; a daughter, Ms. David (Judith) Hunt of Lovilia. Also surviving are five brothers, Harold of Sturgeon, Mo. John and Claude of LaPlata, Mo., Marion of Bussey, Milton of Douglas, Kas.; and five sisters, Mrs. Beulah Cameron of Oakland, Calif.; Mrs. Virginia Albers of Mt. Hebron, Calif., Mrs. Thelma Burgess of Hazelwood, Mo., Mrs. Blanche Gammill of St. Louis, Mo., and Mrs. Esther Caldwell of Allerton.
---Buneral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m at the Zimmerman Funeral Home in Lovilia with the Rev. Wesley Lowry and Rev. Dale Gray officiating. Burial will be in Lovilia Woodlawn Cemetery with Masonic graveside services.
