Augusta Louise Sokolis was born in Schonebeck, Germany 29 November 1894, the eldest child of Johann "John" Sokolis and Eva Bachor. She sailed with her family from Antwerp on 31 August 1901 on the S. S. Kensington. The family settled in Springfield, IL. She married Wilhelm Naschinski on 6 September 1912 and was the mother of 6 sons: Paul John, William Edward, Emil Fredrick, Walter George, Daniel Ernest, and Albert Heinrich.
