Trosy L. (Truslow) Allen, 76, of Route 3, Box 349, Afton, died at 2:16 p.m. Saturday (Aug. 7, 1993) in Waynesboro Community Hospital. She was born June 17, 1917, at Wintergreen, a daughter of William Clifton and Eliza Coffey Truslow. She was a member of Wintergreen Christian Church and a member of the Christian Women's Fellowship at the church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney D. Allen, on Dec. 24, 1973; two children; four sisters; and two brothers. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Raymond (Beth) Spitler and Mrs. Sam (Barbara) Baldwin, both of Afton; one sister, Daisy Allen of Afton; six Grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. A service was conducted at 11 a.m. today at Wintergreen Christian Church by the Revs. Cecil Rhoades and John Chafee. Burial followed in Greenfield Pentecostal Church cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Rockfish Valley Fire Department. The Waynesboro chapel of Etter Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
