Mrs. Rudolph Ibe, 76, of R. 1, Kiel, died unexpectedly this morning at her home in the Town of Eaton after being stricken with an apparent heart attack. Born Sept, 15, 1891 in the Town of Eaton, the former Lucy Lechler was the daughter of the late Ferdinand and Emma Strassmann Lecher. She attended district schools and on June 19, 1919, married Rudolph Ibe in the Town of Schleswig. The couple operated a farm in the Town of Eaton since their marriage. Mrs. Ibe was a life-long member of St. John's United Church of Christ in New Holstein, the Women's Guild of the church, member and former treasurer of the Eaton Cemetery Ladies Aid and member of the Kasper-Beckley-Wilkens American Legion Post No. 99 Auxiliary in Kiel.
Survivors include her husband; one daughter, Mrs. Chris (Margie) Christopherson of R. 1, Kiel; three brothers, John and Mike of rural Kiel and Helmuth of Kiel. Two brothers preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be Saturday at St. John's United Church of Christ, New Holstein with the Rev. Charles A.Kock, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Eaton Cemetery.
