Hubert Lechler, 65, Town of Eaton (Manitowoc County) farmer, died early today at this home on Highway 32 about five miles north of Kiel. He had been ailing four years.
A native of Eaton, he was born May 12, 1893, a son of the late Ferdinand and Emma Strassmann Lechler.
He grew up and attended district school in Eaton, marrying the former Edna Gau, Dec. 3, 1918.
The couple lived in New Holstein for a year, then took over operating of their present farm.
Surviving are his wife; three brothers, John and Michael of Eaton and Helmuth of Kiel; and two sisters, Mrs. Clarence Anhalt of Kiel and Mrs. Rudolph Ibe of Eaton.
He was preceded in death by a brother, James.
