James A. Lechler, age 46, a resident of the town of Eaton, unexpectedly passed away
Saturday morning at his farm home.
Death followed a heart attack. The deceased was born in the town of Eaton April 24, 1901, he was the son of Ferdinand and Emma Strassmann Lechler. He was married to Miss Selma Hansen of New Holstein Sept. 24, 1925, and the couple lived in Kiel and New Holstein for a few years before moving to their present home.
Survivors include his wife; six children, Nelson, Eugene, Raymond, Roy, Grace and Doris all at home; his father Ferdinand Lechler of the town of Eaton; four brothers, Hubert, John and Michael of the town of Eaton, and Helmuth of Kiel; and two sisters. Mrs. Rudolph Ibe of the town of Eaton, and Mrs. Clarence Anhalt of Kiel
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon at the St. John's Evangelical and Reformed church in New Holstein, with the Rev. John Seidler officiating. 4 - 1947
