Vandalia was the daughter of James Franklin and Rachel (McDaniel) Kivett. She married George Anthony Kimrey and they had seven children: Stacy Lee, Pearle Rachael, James Grady, Sercy, George Franklin, Vernon Ray and Richard Calvin 'Rodney'.

LIBERTY, July 11 - Mrs G. A. Kimery, 74, of Route, 1 Staley, died unexpectedly at her home yesterday afternoon. She was seized with a heart attack. She is survived by four sons, Grady of Route 1, Staley, George of Route 1, Liberty, Vernon of Greensboro and Richard Kimery of Siler City; two daughters, Mrs. Sam Warren and Mrs. David Lineberry, both of Route 1, Staley; three sisters, Mrs. J. A. Custer and Miss Flora Kivett, both of Greensboro, and Mrs. Sarah Hopkins of Kansas City, Mo.; one brother George Kivett of Denver, Colo.; 20 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church. The Rev. J. C. Edwards, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
