Sercy was the fourth of seven children born to George anthony and Vandalia Alvire (Kivett) Kimrey. She married David Monroe Lineberry and they had four children: Homer Monroe, Layton L., Betty and Elvin Raymond.

STALEY - Mrs. Sercy Kimrey Lineberry, 80, of Route 1 died Tuesday, May 31, 1994, at Randolph Hospital.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Community Baptist Church. Burial will be in Rocky River Friends Church cemetery.
A native of Randolph County, Mrs. Lineberry attended Community Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting as a life long hobby.
Surviving are husband, David Lineberry of the home; daughter, Mrs. Betty Caldwell of Siler City; sons, Homer M. Lineberry of Staley, Layton L. Lineberry and Elvin R. Lineberry of Siler City; brother, Richard Kimrey of Siler City; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends 7-9 tonight at Loflin Funeral Home, Liberty.
