Services will be Tuesday, June 10, at 10:00 a.m. at the Westgate Church of Christ with Rodney Ashlock and Aubrey Rodgers officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of North's Funeral Home. Visitation will be Monday evening from 6-7:30 p.m. at North's Funeral Home, 242 Orange St.
Gene was born November 25, 1928 in Abilene to John and Louise Bogart. He married Betty Koonsman in Abilene in 1949. He worked over 50 years as an insurance adjuster. He was a member of the Westgate Church of Christ and was an excellent song leader.
Mr. Bogart was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Betty; and two brothers, Bob and Hollis.
Gene is survived by one daughter, Debra Harbin; one sister, Liz Woosley and Henry of Meridian, Texas; one brother, John Bogart and Nan of Abilene; one granddaughter, Courtney Harbin; and one great-granddaughter, Brelee Harbin.
