Dorothy T. Howard

Dorothy T. Howard of Waxahachie, 67, died Sunday at her residence.

She was born Feb. 6, 1923, in Grand Saline, the daughter of Clarence Allen and Gradys Allen.

She married J. M Howard in 1939 and moved to Waxahachie in 1946. She was a member of the South Prong Baptist Church.

Survivors include; her husband; three sons and daughters-in-law, Oallen W. and Pat Howard of Waxahachie, J. D. and Carol Howard, Monte and Karen Howard, all of Morton, Mississippi; three daughters and sons-in-laws, Laverne and Junior Wyatt of Dallas, Pat and Will Roy Wilsford of Waxahachie, Martie Howard of Waxahachie; 16 grandchildren, including Richard Hill, Sharon Howard Eakin, Darrell McNeal, Davi Harting, Josh and Aaron Howard, all of Waxahachie; four great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; 11 step-great-grandchildren; four sisters, Doris Christopher, Joyce Coulson, Etta Catlett, Peggy Meadon; two brothers, L. R. (Tink) Allen, C. G. (Buck) Allen; two aunts and an uncle.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Willard and Troy (Hoss) Allen.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Boze-Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Rusty Morgan officiating. A committal service will be held at 2 p.m. in Rogers Cemetery in Grand Saline.

Pallbearers will be nephews and honorary pallbearers will be grandsons.

The family requests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
