Mrs. Florence O. Jermyn, 83, died Monday, August 30, 2004, in Gautier. Mrs. Jermyn was born in Memphis, Tennessee and had been a longtime resident of the coast. She was a member of the Episcopal Church and a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was retired from T. G. & Y. Mrs. Jermyn was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, J. T. Jermyn, sisters, Ruth DeLong, Eunice Woolsey, Verna Facello, Dorothy Welch and brothers, A. B. Powell, Son Powell, Harold Powell and Stanley Oehms and grandson, Michael Szumigala. Survivors include two daughters, Brenda Szumigala and husband, David, of Ocean Springs and Linda Braun and husband, Bobby; three sons, J. T. "Zeke" Jermyn and wife, Sandy, Matthew Jermyn, Mickey Jermyn and wife, Lynne; one brother, Clinton Oehms all of Biloxi; eleven grandchildren, "Z" Szumigala, Chuck Szumigala, Tammy Freeman, Jessica Jermyn, Justin Jermyn, Kyle Jermyn, Cori Jermyn, Noelle Jermyn, Alan Jermyn, Jill Beam and Trent Braun; great grandchildren, David Szumigala, Lauren Szumigala, Andy Szumigala, Jack Bozman, Mack Bozman, Zack Bozman, Austin Freeman, Blake Freeman, Reno Haggett, Raeven Haggett, Sarah Beam, Colt Beam and Tye Braun. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, September 2, 2004, at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi where friends may visit from 12:30 p.m. till service time. Burial will follow in Biloxi City Cemetery.
