Paul J. Schroeder, 77, of 12716 Cedar Lake Road, Kiel, died Sunday morning at Calumet Medical Center, Chilton, after a short illness.
He was born Nov. 4, 1909, in Manitowoc, son of the late John and Elizabeth ( Randl) Schroeder. Graduated from Lincoln High School, Manitowoc in 1927, and also attended the former Milwaukee Teachers College. On June 18, 1932 he married Loella Voigt at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Louis Corners. They farmed in the Town of Schleswig for most of their lives. He is a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran church, Louis corners.
Survivors are his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Melvin (Antonia) Arnold of Grand Island, Nebraska; three sons, Daniel of Beloit, Theodore of St. Peter's, Missouri; and Gary of Kiel; eight grandchildren; one step grandchild; four great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Paul (Marcella) Sammon of Manitowoc; two brothers, John of Manitowoc and Robert of Florida. He was preceded in death by a brother and sister and a great grandchild.
Private funeral services will be at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Louis Corners. The Rev. Adalbert Schultz, pastor, officiating. Burial in the church cemetery.
