Edna M. Ocker, Funeral services for Edna M. Ocker, 92, a resident of the
Episcopal Home, Shippensburg, will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in Shippensburg
First Assembly of God Church.
She died Wednesday, November, 18, 1998 in Shippensburg Health Care Center.
Born Oct. 11, 1906 in West Pennsboro Township, she was a daughter of the late A.
Raymond and Annie Eckenrode Crusey and the widow of Elmer P. Ocker, who died
Aug. 11, 1980.
Before her marriage, she was employed by The Beistle Co., Shippensburg. She was
a member of Shippensburg First Assembly of God Church and attended the Christian
Women's Club of Chambersburg.
Mrs. Ocker is survived by five sons, Albert I., Chester W. and Richard L., all
of Shippensburg, Paul E. of Newville and Jay G. of Hagerstown, Md.; six
daughters, Betty Parson, Esther Mowery-Carver, Mae Staver, Jean Mooney, Mary
Heefner and Grace Brenize, all of Shippensburg; a brother, Wesley Crusey of
Chambersburg; two sisters, Annie Hurley of Newville and Emma Helman of
Chambersburg; 43 grandchildren; 78 great-grandchildren; and 23
great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, a sister, two grandsons and one
great-grandson.
The Rev. Arnold V. Segesman will officiate at services. Burial will be in Mongul
Cemetery, Southampton Township, Franklin County.
Friends may call at Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, 112 W. King St.,
Shippensburg, on Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m. and at the church on Monday from 10 to
11 a.m.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Episcopal Home, 206 E. Burd St.;
Shippensburg First Assembly of God Church, 420 Baltimore Road; or Mongul United
