John Fenstermaker "Jack", age 66 of Dyer, passed away May 18, 2010.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Judie; daughters: Joan (Eric DeFlorio) Fenstermaker, Janette (Brian) Gottschalk, and Josie Sirovica; grandchildren: Isabella and Trevor; brother, Jerome Paul; sister, Mary (Don) White; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Eugene and Gwendolyn; brother, Tom; and sister, Judy.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 23, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Ave., Schererville, IN.
Friends are invited to meet with the family prior to services on Sunday, May 23, 2010, from 12:00 Noon-2:00 PM.
Jack was retired from Lake Central School Corporation where he was the Director of Transportation. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines, serving in Vietnam. He was an avid reader, enjoyed boating, and loved spending time with his grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Jack's honor may be made to Tradewinds Services, 5901 W. 7th Ave., Gary, IN 46406.
