Born in England, he served seven years in the British Army during WW II, with Montgomery in North Africa as well as in Italy and Greece.

Later he became principal at Brooklyn Automotive H.S. He opened the first foreign car repair shop on Long Island's South Shore in 1951, MG Motors, specializing in British sports cars. First president of the LISCA. He was a pro and amateur race car driver.

Survived by his wife and many other family members.
