Charles Clayton Frye 85, formerly of 4150 N. Co. Rd. 185 E, died at 4:12 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 26, 1994, in the Connersville Nursing Home where he had been a resident since 1992.

Born March 7, 1908, in Jackson County, Kentucky, he was on of ten children of John B. and Elizabeth Banks Frye, both of whom preceded him in death. He married Bessie Mae Forbes of McKee, KY in 1945, and she died March 4, 1964.

He came to Connersville with his family in 1920, and had been employed by Philco and its successor Ford for 27 years retiring in 1974. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and had been a member of the Eagles Lodge.

Survivors include three sons, Charles C. Frye, Jr. and Wayne D Frye, both of Connersville and Gary G Frye of Milton; three daughters Mrs. Wilbur (Peggy) Snow of Richmond, Mrs. John R. (Lois) Starrett and Mrs. Ollie (Ruby) Bussell, both of Moorefield, KY; two brothers, Hillery Frye and Moses Frye, both of Brookville, two sisters, Mrs. Alia Bennett of Brookville and Mrs. Martha Branstetter of Cincinnati, Ohio, 21 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

Besides his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by five brothers and four grandchildren.
