His wife Anna F. Steinkamp, was buried in the Old Bethlehem Cemetery, St. Louis City, Missouri. Then that cemetery closed and all interments were moved, if they could not identify the remains they were reinterred in the New Bethlehem Cemetery, St. Louis Co., Missouri in a mass grave. She and her parents are either there or a cemetery unknown at this time.
