Georgia was the daughter of Joseph William Bennett and Tennessee Caroline Nix Bennett.

Marriage record revealed James Damrel and Georgia Bennett married on Jan 23, 1922 in Moore Co, Tennessee.

Their only child:

They had been married three years when Georgia died in 1925.

Funeral services for Mrs. Georgia Damrel, whose death Sunday night occurred after she had taken an overdose of medicine, were held yesterday morning at the residence 826 Indiana Ave. The Rev. Powell Smith was in charge. Burial was in Forest Park cemetery.

INQUEST IS HELD INTO DEATH OF MRS. DAMREL

Mrs. Georgia Damrel, 24 years old, 826 Indiana Ave., came to her death as the result of having taken an over-dose of medicine, "self administered - an accidental death." a coroner's jury last night found.

Mrs. Damrel had felt badly all last week, according to testimony, of her husband, James R. Demrel. Saturday morning she told him she intended taking a dose of the medicine, about the effects of which he knew nothing, he said. He also testified he believed his wife knew little of the medicine or of the size of a dose.

Damrel thought nothing more of the incident until Saturday night, when his wife became violently ill.

Mrs. Damrel lived about twenty-four hours, dying at 9:15 o'clock Sunday night. She was able to speak only twice during the time she lived and then only a very few word, which she addressed to her 2 year old daughter, Virginia Hope.

Mrs. Damrel was a member of the Christian church. She and her husband had resided here about three years.

Funeral services will be conducted 10:30 o'clock this morning at the residence. The Rev. Powell Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Forest Park cemetery.

Surviving besides her husband and 2 year old daughter, are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Bennett of Tullahoma, Tenn.; four sisters, Mrs. Lillie May Smith, Mrs. Jennie Bell Mullens, Mrs. Ethel Cleek, of Tullahoma, and Mrs. J. R. Cole of Texas, and one brother, Joseph R. Bennett of Tullahoma.
