Charles Nickerson of 321 Hasbrouck Avenue, former superintendent of the Staples Brick Co., died early this morning.
He was well and favorably known throughout this area and along the Hudson valley. Mr. Nickerson was a member of the Ponckhockie Congregational Church.
Surviving besides his wife, who was Mary L. Strokes, are two sons, Wilmer and Ralph Nickerson; a brother, John L. Nickerson, all of Kingston; also six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral from his late home on Saturday at 3 p.m. with burial in Montrepose Cemetery.

The funeral of Charles Nickerson was held from his late home, 321 Hasbrouck Avenue, Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Services were in charge of the Rev. Osterhoudt Phillips, pastor of the Ponckhockie Congregational Church, who paid the deceased tribute to his fine Christian character.
The home was filled with relatives and friends from this city and surrounding communities. There also was a profusion of floral offerings.
Surviving besides his wife, who was Mary L. Strokes, are two sons, Wilmer and Ralph Nickerson; a brother, John L. Nickerson, all of this city; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Burial was in Montrepose Cemetery where the Rev. Mr. Phillips conducted the burial services. Bearers were Elias, Carl, Floyd, Raymond and John Nickerson, Jr. and Walter King.
