Florence Wilhelm Veach
Florence Wilhelm Veach, 96, died Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2012 at St. Elizabeth's Hospital, Lincoln, Nebraska.
She was born Jan. 23, 1916, at Galatia the daughter of Benjamin Karst and Magdeline Dietz Karst.
She was from Hebron, Nebraska, for th epast several years, formerly of Ellinwood and Galatia. She was a secretary for Bosse elevators, Ellinwood, and also a homemaker.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, LWML and the Garden Club, all of Ellinwood.
She married August Welhelm, Jan. 9, 1938 at Galatia. He died May 18, 1976. She then married George Veach on August 30, 1981 at Ellenwood. He died in 1985.
Survivors include a son, Lester (Peggy) Wilhelm, San Diego , Calif.; daughter, Nancy (Bob) Mitchell, Nevada, Mo.; brother, Arthur Karst, Great Bend; sister Viola Dumler, Russell, step-son, Robert (Pat) Veach, Bella Vista, Ark.; and grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Friday, Feb. 10, at Kimple, Inc. Funeral Home, Ellinwood.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 11, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Ellinwood, with Rev. Jeff Frakes officiating.
Burial will be Saturday, Feb. 11, at 2 p.m. at Fairview Township Cemetery, Galatia.
Memorials are to the St. John's Lutheran Church or to Blue Valley Lutheran Foundation, and may be sent in care of the mortuary.
