RG Moran Taylor was born in Speaker Twp.; Melvin, Michigan on January 27, 1921 to Clarence Edward and Elsie Lavern Moran Taylor. He attended Melvin (9th grd.); Brown City (10th grd.); and Yale (11th grd.) High Schools. On September 21, 1942 he and Miss Doris Muriel Hudie of Peck were married in Angola, Indiana. RG served in the U.S. Army Medical Corps during World War II. He was a truck driver for the E&L Transport Company of Dearborn, Michigan for thirty years, retiring in 1981. During the course of their marriage, RG and Doris lived in Melvin, Redford Township, Livonia, Beaverton, and Marlette. He was a member of VFW Post 2943 of Brown City and the Alpha Baptist Church of Livonia. In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children: Pamela Vasseur of Tennessee; Richard of Cincinnati, Ohio; David of Northville, Michigan; and Jill Wiseman of Beaverton, Michigan. He is also survived by three brothers: Robert of Melvin, Michigan; George of Daytona Beach, Florida and Dale of Bridgeport, Michigan; and one sister, Anita Braniff of Marysville, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his parents, his grandparents (Mr. and Mrs. Henry P. Moran who raised him),and two sisters, Julia L. Taylor and Lorraine V. Wanamaker. RG is buried at Fairview Cemetery in Melvin, Michigan.
