Lorraine Viola Taylor Wanamaker was born in Melvin, Michigan on March 26, 1926 to Clarence Edward and Elsie Lavern Moran Taylor. She attended school in Melvin and Brown City, graduating from Brown City High School in 1944. On February 3, 1945 she and Alvah Wanamaker of Peck, Michigan were married in Melvin by the Rev. Perry DeArmond. At the time of her death, Lorraine was a member of the First United Methodist Church; the Order of the Eastern Star, and the Cameo Club, all in Brown City. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters and a son: Connie (Terry) Ignasiac of Wayland, Michigan; Sandra (Robert) Brenner of Wayland; and Ronald (Ann) also of Wayland. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; a sister, Anita Braniff of Marysville, Mich. and three brothers: Robert of Melvin; George of Daytona Beach, Florida; and Dale of Bridgeport, Michigan. Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents and her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry P. Moran, (who raised her); a sister, Julia L. Taylor; and a granddaughter, Kathy Brenner. A brother, RG Taylor of Marlette succeeded her in death in 1997. Lorraine is buried in Evergreen Cemetery in Brown City, Michigan.
