Elisha and Phebe Doan lived in Richland, Clinton County, Ohio. Elisha Doan is reputed to have given the land for the Doan Cemetery, near Sabina, Ohio. In 1870, long after the death of her husband, Phebe moved to Missouri where she supposedly joined one of her children. Then Phebe moved to Jackson, Miami County, Indiana with her son, Abner Nathaniel Doan and his family.

Burial: Phebe Doan is buried at Pipe Creek Friends Cemetery north of Converse, Indiana. Her husband, Elisha Doan is buried at Doan Cemetery, Clinton County, Ohio.
