She married Glen Sern Nielsen, in the Manti LDS Temple on June 21, 1939. He preceded her in death on May 31, 1958.
Beth lived most of her life in Manti. While living in Manti, she worked in the manufacturing plant during the war and also at Pacific Trail Sportswear.
She loved her family and gave her all for their welfare. She lost her husband and father of her children at a young age. At the time of his death, they had two teenagers, a toddler and one on the way. She raised her youngest children mostly by herself. Beth was reliable, honest and very hard working. She had a great passion for music from the times she was born and a special gift for remembering songs after hearing them just a few times.
Later in life, she enjoyed bowling and brought home several trophies.
Beth loved the Utah Jazz and up until two weeks ago, kept inquiring about them.
She is survived by her children, Dixie (Gene) Witt, Mapleton; Roger Lee Nielson, Manti; Jerrie Baldwin, Salt Lake City; and Coleen (Darwin) Ogden, Gunnison; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and one more on the way; brother, Dick Molter (LaRue) Braithwaite, Sandy; and sister-in-law, Dortha Braithwaite, Manti.
