Mrs. John Manners, Albion, Dies at 74
Mrs. Katy Arminta Manners, wife of John A. Manners and a resident of nearby Albion the past 47 years died of an acute coronary attack in the Adrian Hospital here Monday. She was 74 years of age.
The deceased was born June 1, 1883, in Coolspring, a daughter of Joel and Elizabeth Reitz Himes, and was married April 20, 1903, to John A. Manners. Mrs. Manners was a member of the Albion Heights Evangelical United Brethren Church, the American Legion Auxillary and the Gold Star Mothers.
Surviving are her husband and these daughters and sons: Mrs. Sara Wagner, San Bernardino, Calif.; Joseph Manners, of Youngstown, O; Blair Manners, of Salamanca, N. Y.; Earl and Harry Manners, of Cloe; Guy and Eugene Manners and Mrs. Betty Brunner, of Punxsutawney and Mrs. Melda Brosious [sp?] at home. She leaves also ? grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and these brothers and sisters: Charles Himes, of Youngstown; Harry Himes, of Savannah, GA; and Mrs. Emma Smouse and Mrs. Melda Hobba, of Punxsutawney, R. D. 2. Two sons, Paul Manners, who died May, 1955, and Bert Manners, who lost his ife in World War II, preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at ? o`clock in the home in Albion. The Rev. Paul Clam--- will officiate and interment will be in the Grube Cemetery. Friends are being received in the home.
