Born in Prusy, Poland (now Jampil,Ukraine). Was in Siberia when released went to Palestine where he met and married Stefania Puć in Ain Karem, Palestine. Evacuated to England after war, and in 1956 emigrated to the U.S. Died in 1968 .. wife Stefania died in 1978 and oldest son Matthew Gorniak died in 2008.
