SAN BENITO, TX - Norma Conde Anzaldua, 59, entered into eternal rest on Friday, February 13, 2009, tenderly surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 23, 1949, in San Benito, Texas, to Guadalupe "Lupe" and Maria G. Conde.

In 2007, Norma retired from the Cameron County Appraisal District after 23 years of dedicated service.

She is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Alonzo Anzaldua; daughter Celia Anzaldua; and grandsons Mario Alonzo Parra and Jake Charles Garcia, all of San Benito.

Norma is also survived by her parents, sisters Lupita (Jonathan) González and Alicia (Guillermo) Salinas, all of San Benito, and her brother Johnny (Tyra) Conde, currently stationed in Korea.

Norma leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.

Visitation will be held in Chapel B of the San Benito Funeral Home on Monday, February 16, 2009, from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM, with a rosary service to be celebrated at 7:00 PM.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph Catholic Church in San Benito on Tuesday, February 17, 2009, at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Mont Meta Cemetery in San Benito.

Honored to be pallbearers are Alonzo Anzaldua, Johnny Conde, Joey González, Jonathan González, Jr., Guillermo Salinas, and Juan Pablo. Honorary pallbearers are Mario Alonzo Parra and Jake Charles Garcia.
