Stephen and Elizabeth Elrod and Their Eight Boys

William, the oldest son, married Mary A. Noblitt, in 1845, and 15 children were
born to this union. Eight of these children lived to marry and raise families:
John W. married Elizabeth Dudley; Eliza J. married James Erwin; Albert N.
married Lennie Morris; Sarah E. married Jesse B. Davis; Emma A. married Benj.
F. Fitzpatrick; Dora B. married Dawson Purlee; Chapman, married Rachael L.
Sturdevant and Ishmael married a Miss Harmon. They lived and raised their
family on the farm where B.F. Fitzpatrick now lives. Only four of the children are
still alive, Emma A., Dora B., Chapman and Ishmael.
