OBITUARY
MRS. SERENE KEESLER WAGNER
SCHENECTADY GAZETTE
TUESDAY MORNING, MARCH 4, 1913
FORT PLAIN
FORT PLAIN March 3 – Mrs. Serene Wagner, aged 63 years, died on Thursday at the home of her sister, Mrs. Menzo Smith, in this village. Mrs. Wagner had been in ill health for many years and for the past few months had been dconfined to her bed. For six weeks previous to her death, she had been unconscious. Death was due to hardening of the arteries and creeping paraslysis. The deceased was one of the highly respected and esteemed women of this town where she had resided for the most part of her life. She was a member of the Universalist Church of Fort Plain. She is survived by three sisters and three brothers, Mrs. M. d. Smith of Fort Plain, Mrs. Elizabeth Leip of Nelliston, Mrs. Nancy Martin of Keesler's Corners, Peter Keesler of Minden, Henry Keesler of Fort Plain and Edward Keesler of Auburn and several nieces. The funeral services were held from her late home on Sunday afternoon at 1 o'clock and from the Cahterine Nellis Memorial Chapel at 2 o'clock, Rev. Mr. Hokerk of Gloversville, officiating. The burial was made in the Fort Plain Cemetery.
